New premises for Somerset Studio

We are delighted to announce that our Somerset studio has moved just down the road into the centre of Taunton.
Our new address is:

Somerset House, which is Grade II listed, dates from the early nineteenth century and was built to accommodate the District Registrar’s Office for the civil registration of births, marriages and deaths. The building has Tudor Gothic detailing, such as the quatrefoils set within an oculus in the front gable of the building, and distinctive hood moulds and carved spandrels. It was built on the boundary of the medieval town on the corner of Whirligig Lane named after the turnstile gate in the town defences. As conservation architects we are delighted to be custodians of this fine historic building and being part of the next chapter of its history.
Inside, the studio space is light, bright and uncluttered, and the Taunton team are enjoying the larger working area, which has plenty of space for the new team members who have recently started at the practice (look out for a welcome blog soon!)
Work has continued as usual through the move, so if you have any queries about your current or upcoming project, please do contact us on the usual telephone no. and email address.
