Sarah is a RIBA chartered architect with over 30 years’ experience, and is passionate about the adaptation of historic buildings to suit low carbon and sustainable modern imperatives while retaining their heritage fabric & character. She has a master’s degree in Environmental Design & Engineering from University College London (UCL) and is working towards becoming an accredited RIBA Conservation Architect. Her experience spans heritage and new build private houses, commercial, industrial, community and ecclesiastical buildings including theatre and performance space design.
Helena moved back to Devon and joined Jonathan Rhind Architects after graduating from the University of Liverpool and working in London and Manchester on high-end residential, heritage, and commercial projects. Much of Helena’s work has focussed on listed buildings, combining creativity with technical precision to deliver thoughtful and sensitive designs. She is experienced in collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept through to completion and has a strong interest in interior architecture to create innovative, functional, and beautifully detailed spaces inside and out.
Bethan joined Jonathan Rhind Architects having worked for several years in Wales after graduating from Cardiff University. Bethan has always had an interest in the reuse and adaptation of existing buildings and she designs with a holistic approach to sustainability, considering both operational and embodied carbon, but also considering how buildings can adapt to changing needs to increase their longevity and secure their future. Bethan is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) ambassador, and is active in promoting the industry with young people.
Helena, Sarah and Bethan have picked up the baton on various ongoing projects and are a great asset to the growing Jonathan Rhind Architects’ team.
