Student Eve Wheller has been working with Jonathan Rhind Architects (JRA) since November last year on a work experience placement, to help her decide whether to pursue a career in architecture.

We are pleased to announce that Eve has been accepted into the University of Bath to study a BSc in Architecture, starting in September 2017. We were sad to see Eve go, but would like to wish her the best of luck in her studies.

Eve said “My time at JRA has made me feel confident that pursuing a career in architecture is the right path for me. I found the office environment friendly and everybody very helpful. Working at JRA has given me a real appreciation of historic buildings. Without this work experience I wouldn't have secured an offer at University and for this I am utterly grateful for the opportunity.”

Working with Senior Architects Mark Raby and Julian Clayton at our Taunton office, Eve experienced a broad cross-section of the type of work we do in the field of conservation architecture.

They said: “Eve responded really positively and was extremely engaged in producing some very productive and helpful work.”

We hope to keep in touch with Eve and that she perhaps return to us in the future on a more permanent basis.

We are currently looking for a student to join us for a summer placement in our Taunton office. You can find full information on how to apply here.
