barn conversion open plan kitchen living space

While you are at home, you may have been dreaming up the possibilities for your building project. We are still working and happy to discuss your proposals. We appreciate that clients come in many shapes and sizes, some can write a brief, some collect design ideas on pinterest, whilst others feel the urge to pick up a pen and draw a design or make a 3D Sketchup model.

Our directors are all experienced Architects and would be very happy to have an initial consultation with you over the phone. You can submit an enquiry online at www.jonathan-rhind.co.uk; email us at [email protected]; or simply pick up the phone and call 01823 462300 (Somerset) or 01271 850416 (Devon).

We can assess your design proposals and help you consider the best options for your house or other project. We can advise on the likelihood of planning and how best to maximise your chances, discuss any issues and the best solutions for building control and give you budget costs for the build. We also have a great tender list of local contractors to arrange competitive tenders and can manage a project for you on site or hand over with a complete set of technical information.

We work in North Devon, East Devon, Mid Devon, Somerset West and Taunton, South Somerset, Dorset, Sedgemoor and various other councils as far afield as Bath, Gloucestershire and Cornwall. We also have very good links with Historic England and Conservation Officers if your project is for a historic building.

We are of course adapting our practice to deal with Covid-19 and minimising visits and client contact. To facilitate discussions, we can use Google Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype or the good old fashioned telephone.

We do still have surveyors and ecologists who will visit sites, building exteriors and in some cases enter unoccupied buildings and so we are currently in a position to get new work started in most cases. We are creatives and will have a creative solution to the various problems the current climate presents.

Do call us or drop an email and we can discuss how to make your dreams reality.
