Architect Andreas Hofmeyr

When Andreas Hofmeyr joined Jonathan Rhind Architects in 2018, he talked passionately about his love for the outdoors and his interest in sustainable ways of living. It was little surprise then (although no less sad for us!) when Andreas recently made the decision to change direction and move away from office-based working to follow a more holistic way of living, and work in the outdoors.

One of the major projects that Andreas worked on at Jonathan Rhind Architects was the reordering and extension to a large country house in West Devon, drawing up technical details for the new orangery kitchen extension, and the opening up of an enclosed corridor to make a light open seating area with sweeping garden views. Andreas’s eye for detail and excellent technical drawing skills were essential to help drive the project to completion and ensure the clients were happy with their newly updated home.

We sent Andreas off with a Covid secure outdoor lunch in the rain (thankfully undercover!) and he has promised to keep in touch and update us on how things are going.

Good luck on your new adventure Andreas.
