Although the contextual design challenges of a project are important, we are also keen to promote detail design excellence based on a sound understanding of traditional materials and how they form the components and the finishes of the build.

The practice has a track record of providing conservation management plans and other important contextual information on a project before starting on what may become abortive design work on controversial projects. Initial designs are explored through feasibility studies which help to develop the brief and allow for early important consultations.
