South Molton Town Hall, South Molton

Grade 1 listed 18th century Town Hall set prominently in the centre of the town.

In 2001 the practice designed and administered roof repairs to the oldest parts of the building complex under an English Heritage grant. This work included the assessment and specification strategy for the repair of the main masonry façade. In 2005 we were again commissioned by the Town Council with the support of North Devon District Council to complete a Conservation Management Plan for the whole site in the context of the town centre. This included the large pannier market adjoining the Town Hall buildings. This commission also included a priced feasibility study designed to explore possible future uses which would maintain the site as central to the local community and visitors to the area.
