Glass

Although the conservation of coloured (art) glass is well covered by the building conservation profession the importance of conserving early clear glass (usually figured crown or cylinder glass) is often overlooked.

Robin Miller, based in our Taunton office has been advancing the cause of glass conservation with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). The conservation of historic glass and fenestration can be at odds with the conservation of heat and energy within the building. As a practice we are versed in a wide range of solutions to help resolve these potentially thorny and conflicting issues.
